Make your own Underground Action Alliance stencil t-shirt!

This design was originaly called the "One Term President" stencil (www.onetermpresident.org).
However, some of you might remember it from the the last Anti-Flag album, "The Terror State".
Well, as you all know by now, ole'dubbya got his ass re-elected and so we here at Underground Action Alliance decided to update the original design and make it available to you for free!
We're calling it the "Worst President Ever" stencil!
The idea here is let those bastard know that we're still here and that we don't approve of the policies that the Bush regime has been carring out. Now, with that said, we know that making a stencil t-shirt that reads "worst president ever" won't change a thing but we believe that being silent and not speaking out is a far worst crime. And yes, we know this is just a simple statement but it takes presistance to make a change in this world!
You'll
need these supplies:
a.) Exacto knife
b.) Blank T-Shirt (White or any light color)
c.) Acrylic Paint (Black)
d.) Hard surface to cut the stencil on.
*Note: Dont cut this stencil out on yo mommas kitchen table. She will be pissed!
e.) Stencil brush or roller (I prefer a 1/2 the inch stencil brush)
f.) A clear or blue piece of Mylar. It is also called a stencil blank.
You can pick some up from your local craft store.
If they don't dont have Mylar than you can use a piece of poster board.
g.) A printer to print this design out... duh!
Here's how it works:
1. Click
here to access the stencil pattern.
Next you will need to print the stencil pattern. If the stencil pattern (which is currently set at 8.5 inches x11 inches, a standard sheet of paper) is not the size you want you will have to do some editing on your own using a program like Photoshop. If you don't have Photoshop you can also print the design out and blow it up to whatever size you wish on a copy machine!
2. Lay the Mylar on top of your stencil pattern on a smooth hard surface. I suggest you use a piece of smooth plywood that you can pick up at your local home depot. If you dont want to buy a piece of wood an old table will be sufficient.
*Tip #1* Whatever you use make sure its something that you can scratch up because the Exacto knife will do some damage to its surface.
If you are using a piece of poster board place the stencil pattern on top of the board and cut out the black areas only.
3. Lay the T-Shirt flat on the smooth surface.
Next position the stencil on the shirt
in the area where you wish the design to appear. You may want to use some masking tape to hold your stencil in place on the shirt.
*Tip #2* Trust me the last thing you want is for your stencil to move on you and ruin your sweet new gear!
4. Using the acrylic black paint, paint over the stencil area
you cut out using a tapping motion with your stencil brush.
*Tip #3* I find it's best to do this outside or in an area where you
can keep a window open wide.
You don't want the paint fumes to give you a headache!
*Tip #4* You do not want to brush the paint on because this may ruin your t-shirt. For the best results always use the tapping motion while applying the acrylic paint on your fabric!
Remember its very important to take your time while painting on your stencil pattern.
5. After you've painted the cutout area. After everything is dry, take off the masking tape and remove the stencil. If you've done everything as described in this How to exercise you should have your very own
"Worst President Ever!" t-shirt!
